Please email tickets@ptglive.com with any questions or concerns. With special guest: GA-20It's hard to believe that at 38 years old, Jonny Lang has already had a successful career for two decades. Easier to believe when you learn he released his first platinum record at 15. Lie to Me revealed a talent that transcended the crop of blues prodigies floating around in the late Nineties. Even at that early age Lang was a full-blown artist with a style of his own. Also, setting Lang apart from the wunderkind crowd was a 15-year-old voice that sounded like a weathered soul shouter. What began as a bluesy sound, influenced by electric pioneers like Albert Collins, B. B. King, and Buddy Guy, evolved over the years into a modern R&B style closer to Stevie Wonder and contemporary gospel music. Lang's distinctive, blues-inflected licks appeared on every album, but became one element in a sea of passionately sung and tightly arranged songs.Smoke free. All ages. One of the more important and famous singer/songwriters in the Spanish-speaking world, Leo Dan was born Leopoldo Dante Tevez on March 22, 1942, in a small town in Argentina.
At a young age he began to learn how to play the flute, harmonica, and guitar, and a few years later he was composing his own songs. In 1963 Dan moved to the capital, Buenos Aires, where he signed with CBS and released his first song, "Celia." Dan spent the next decade and a half in Spain and then Mexico, continuing to write and record music, including "Siempe Estoy Pensando en Ella," "Pareles una Nena," and "Esa Pared." In 1980 he returned to his homeland, where he briefly became involved in politics, made four films, wrote a book, and continued writing and recording music. His songs have been covered by numerous artists, including Marisela and Leonardo Favio, and have been translated into various languages.

With the release of their 18th album In League With Dragons, The Mountain Goats, headed by John Darnielle, continue their prolific journey as a band that creates music that is finely observed, slightly surreal and manages to mix life as we live it with life as we wish we could live it. Their songs often seek out dark lairs within which terrible monsters dwell, but their mission is to retrieve the treasure from the dark lair and persuade the terrible monsters inside to seek out the path of redemption.Smoke free. PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
For the final performance of their year-long, 50-state tour, Oliver Bestul and Veronica Swanson's latest play The Birding Body has been brought to the Pabst Theater! Written and illustrated by Milwaukee native Bestul and Minneapolitan Swanson, this 45-minute murder mystery will have you cocking your head and cackling in your seat! No matter the number of Agatha Christie stories or episodes of Columbo you've enjoyed, you've never seen a case cracked quite like this!
The performance is on Sunday, September 20, and will cost $15.00 per person to attend. Each ticket will include a signed copy of the script, a tour patch, and the new magazine Wishbone, a $15 dollar value, while supplies last. The doors will open at 1:00pm, and the performance will begin at 2:00pm.
As you're finding your seat for this unique theater experience, you'll receive your own mini case file of illustrations. This will give you a closer look at each of the clues uncovered by Bestul's peculiar protagonist, Detective Peterson. Can you crack the case yourself before the detective and his unlikely assistant (played by Bestul and Swanson)? It's time you start asking yourself whodunit!
