PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Chicago is a rock-infused, horn-driven musical powerhouse that has inspired generations of professional musicians over the last 40 years. Some of the very best of those musicians found their way to central Florida and came together to form Orlando Transit Authority. OTA is a high-energy Chicago tribute show made up of A-list players who are, first and foremost, Chicago FANS. Founder Stan Allen and Musical Director Carl Dirkes hand-picked each member of the band based on one simple criteria: The degree to which he naturally sounds like the corresponding original member of Chicago. OTA goes one step further by seeking to emulate every stylistic nuance of the Chicago sound, both vocally and instrumentally. Close your eyes and you just might forget who it is you’re listening to.

If you are moved by the technical virtuosity and sheer power of the greatest horn bands in pop music history, you will LOVE Orlando Transit Authority. Every member of the band loves this music – and it shows.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
When five men took the stage nearly 40 years ago their stunning harmonies and tight choreography combined with excellent leads created a legend. The Temptations made musical history with their string of fabulous pop and funk hits in the sixties and seventies and managed to weather a steady stream of changes in personnel and consumer tastes to be able to continue the history.

The Temptations started performing on bus tours called The Motor Town Revues that crisscrossed the country and drew scattered crowds. But those crowds became larger and larger until there was a legion of dedicated fans. The Temptations, working first with Smokey Robinson and then with others, scored hits like "My Girl," The Way You Do The Things You Do," "Get Ready," and "Ain't to Proud to Beg".

Following the death of David Ruffin, Dennis Edwards and Eddie Kendricks began touring as "The Temptations", still with David Sea and Nate Evans, and bringing in another former Temptation, Damon Harris.

The Temps hits include "The Way You Do The Things You Do," "My Girl," "I Wish It Would Rain," "Since I Lost My Baby," "You're My Everything," "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me," "Get Ready," "Ain't Too Proud To Beg," "(I Know) I'm Losing You," "Cloud Nine," "Psychedelic Shack," "Runaway Child, Running Wild," "Ball Of Confusion," "I Can't Get Next To You," "Masterpiece" and "Just My Imagination."

"Nate Evans is still with us and still has the voice that represents The Temptations Revue featuring Nate Evans!"

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Award-winning Venetian vocalist Giada Valenti whisks her audiences away with pageantry and poignancy, dazzling them with her breathtaking vocals, captivating beauty, and her lavish stage presentation. Though every facet of her artistry has been meticulously nurtured-from her prodigious musical talents to her theatrical savvy as a performer-one thing is in the moment every night: her heart. That is because the Los Angeles-based artist has been brave enough to heed the calling of her soul.

"I could have had a safe life back home in Venice with my parents, but I dared to dream big. When you do this, people will say you're crazy," the iconic performer says. "But don't listen, push through the sweat, the hard work, the risks, and the rejection, and you'll see, dreams do come true."

Giada's currently celebrating a career milestone with her PBS television special From Venice With Lovewhich is now being released as a CD and DVD. The show is a carefully curated celebration of romance that embraces a wonderfully eclectic canon of classic and contemporary love songs. Within the stunning From Venice With Love show, Giada gorgeously reimagines songs made popular by such diverse artists as The Carpenters, Rosemary Clooney, The Beatles, The Doors, Christina Perri, The Bee Gees, Linda Ronstadt, Dusty Springfield, Roberta Flack, Bread, and Domenico Modugno, among others. The show was filmed in electric New York City, but the DVD is interspersed with transcendent footage of Giada's beloved home, Venice, Italy. This past June Giada performed with Andrea Bocelli on PBS.

One thing paramount to all of Giada's success has been her humility and her commitment to giving back. "My grandmother once told me: 'When you become successful, you are who you are not because of your God given talent, but you are there because people love you so always give something back.' I never forgot that," she says. It's not a surprise that because of her character and values, Giada has been recognized by many esteemed organizations.

When Giada reflects back on her life and her powerful journey, she says: "My story has been really to look for happiness, and spread happiness to others. What's kept me going throughout everything is dreaming-dream big-that's what keeps me going."

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Five brothers from New Bedford, Massachusetts, joined together to create one of the most memorable soul groups of the 70s and 80s. Many of their instantly recognizable international hits, such as "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" and "More Than A Woman" have become classics.

The brothers - Ralph, Tiny, Chubby, Butch and Pooch Tavares - originally called themselves "Chubby and the Turnpikes". Working the clubs in their native New England beginning in the late 60s, the brothers honed their harmonies, alternating lead vocals, when Capitol Records' signed them. Their debut album, Check It Out, was issued in early 1974. The title track "Slow Jam " went to No. 5 R&B on Billboard's charts in the summer 1973. The next single, the ballad "That's the Sound That Lonely Makes", hit number ten R&B in early 1974.

Capitol teamed the group next with Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter, hot producers and writers who worked with the Four Tops, among others. This led to two successful Tavares LPs, "Hard Core Poetry" and "In The City". A cover of Hall & Oates' "She's Gone" gave the group their first No. 1 on the R&B charts, and "It Only Takes A Minute" was their first top 10 pop hit.

"Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" and "Don't Take Away the Music" were huge hits from their next release, Sky High, (produced by Motown veteran writer and producer Freddie Perren). Perren moved the group to a hotter beat and heavy sound just as the disco boom was about to explode. The group teamed with Perren again for their "Love Storm" and "Future Bound" LPs in 1977 and 1978. The Bee Gees wrote "More Than A Woman" for Tavares for the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, giving the group its greatest exposure ever, as well as a Grammy award.

In 1979, the brothers released the ballad-drenched Madam Butterfly LP. Produced by Philly veteran Bobby Martin, this disc highlighted the group's Soul foundation, especially on the hit "Never Had A Love Like This Before" and three Sam Dees' ballads (including the incredible "Let Me Heal The Bruises"). Chubby, Butch and Pooch continue to tour as Tavares, also appearing on occasional television specials. They still enjoy seeing their many loyal fans around the world and making new fans wherever they appear singing their timeless hits.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Formed from the cream of Atlanta's studio musicians, the Atlanta Rhythm Section (actually hailing from nearby Doraville, Georgia) came together in 1970 after working on a Roy Orbison recording session.

Keyboardist Dean Daughtry and drummer Robert Nix had been members of Orbison's backing group, the Candymen, and Daughtry and guitarist J.R. Cobb had been members of the Top 40 hitmakers Classics IV ("Spooky," "Stormy," "Traces"). Rounding out the original ARS lineup were vocalist Rodney Justo (replaced after the first album by Ronnie Hammond), guitarist Barry Bailey, and bassist Paul Goddard.

In 1977, "So Into You" became the band's breakthrough single, reaching the U.S. Top 10, and the album from which it came, "A Rock And Roll Alternative," went gold. Their platinum follow up album, "Champagne Jam", broke into the Top 10 in 1978, together with the blockbuster single "Imaginary Lover" ("I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight" was another major hit from the same album). Nix left after that, replaced on drums by Roy Yeager.
After an extended break, the band got back together in the mid-'90s and re-recorded some of their best and best-known songs. The live-in-the-studio sound of Atlanta Rhythm Section '96 presents a different, less polished take on some classic tunes and captures the sound of their live performances from that period. Three original band members returned: singer Ronnie Hammond, guitarist Barry Bailey, and keyboardist Dean Daughtry. They were joined by Steve Stone on guitar, Justin Senker on bass and Sean Burke on drums. Original singer Rodney Justo and original bassist Paul Goddard returned to ARS in 2011 after lengthy absences from the group. Sadly, Goddard passed away on April 29, 2014, of cancer in Atlanta. Nonetheless, Atlanta Rhythm Section will carry on, continuing to make concert appearances showcasing their many classic hits and outstanding musical abilities.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
The Sensational Soul Cruisers are not just another 11-man vocal harmony group with horns. While it is still sometimes possible to find a band featuring a similar line up of instruments, it is unlikely that you will ever find another that performs with as much energy, passion, and talent as these guys. From their humble beginnings rehearsing at the chicken coops on Route 33 to the basement of the Cycle Shop on Throckmorton Street, this band has come a long way from its "Eddie and the Cruisers" days to become one of Jersey's best kept secrets.

Under the tutelage of legendary Jersey Shore sax player Screamin' Steve Barlotta, who has been the captain of this fantastic soul cruise for over 20 years, the band catapulted from the recesses of a dingy basement to over 200 performances a year while capturing the true essence of the Jersey Shore sound and its true R&B roots. Fortunately for those of us that feel that the sound of classic Philly Soul, Motown, Disco, Stax, and the music of The Temptations, Four Tops, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, The Tramps and other such groups was and still is some of the best music ever recorded or played live. The band travels to and plays concerts in theaters, clubs, public festivals, and private events throughout the country.

Over the past 25 years the Soul Cruisers have been fortunate enough to grace the stage with many great artist from Bruce Springsteen, Little Anthony and The Imperials, Gloria Gaynor, Gary US Bonds, John Cafferty, Southside Johnny, The Emotions, Bon Jovi, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder. As well as being the long time favorite house band at New York City's famed Copacabana.
