Using music interwoven with narration, the singer and instrumentalists present the works of this great American artist. This program is intended for an adult audience.

Erik Dyke, a double bassist with the North Carolina Symphony since 1978, will perform in this Symphony Spotlight concert.
Dyke also has performed at the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds, in Las Palmas, and with the Canary Islands Opera and the Santa Fe Opera.

Brian Reagin, the longtime Concertmaster of the North Carolina Symphony, will perform a memorial concert in honor of Carole J. Wright.
Since 1990, Reagin has appeared as a soloist with the North Carolina Symphony more than 100 times, making him the most frequent soloist in the symphony's history.
Reagin has performed concerts and recitals in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Canada, China, Japan, Puerto Rico, and the West Indies.
